CDCR Scope for Modoc Releases

CDCR stands for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. CIRIS is the California Incarcerated Records & Information Search. The state search is useful when the court sentence or jail transfer points to CDCR. If the person was released from Modoc County Jail without a state-prison sentence, the state search may not have a record to show.

Search Modoc CDCR Releases

Use that support route when a name search is unclear, a record appears stale, a CDCR number is known but not returning a result, or a family member needs help reading a state-prison release date.

CDCR Release Date Terms

California state-prison release dates should use CDCR and BPH terms instead of a generic label. EPRD means Earliest Possible Release Date for determinate sentences and is based on the court sentence less applicable credits. MEPD means Minimum Eligible Parole Date for life terms with parole. NPED means Nonviolent Parole Eligible Date for eligible nonviolent determinate terms reviewed under Proposition 57 processes. These terms do not apply to every Modoc jail release.

EPRD

The earliest possible release date for a determinate CDCR sentence, subject to credits and changes.

MEPD

The minimum date an indeterminate lifer may be considered for parole, not an automatic release date.

NPED

A nonviolent parole review date used for eligible determinate terms.

Parole grant
